Information on Accessibility at Scone Palace

Parking

For parking we have spaces in the car park as close as possible to the entrance of the Palace. Please ask our staff on arrival and they will direct you to these spaces.

Mobility

We have a wheelchair lift giving access for self-propelled wheelchairs into the Palace to view the rooms, which is accessed via the Gift Shop. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate motorised wheelchairs or mobility scooters into the Palace State Rooms. Whilst many parts of the Gardens are accessible to wheelchair users, some areas are unsuitable for wheelchairs. Suitable routes are shown on our site map which can be found here.

Toilets

We have disabled toilets with clear signage inside the Palace on the Ground Floor, access to this floor is via the Estate Office entrance.

Carers

We offer free admission to carers who are visiting with the person they care for. Please do not include carers when booking your tickets online as they will be given complimentary admission on arrival. Please bring entitlement identification with you.

Hearing Impairment

We have recently partnered with Perth & Kinross Council to develop a short video film in British Sign Language which gives a brief history of the Palace. Please scan the QR code on display at the Ticket Hut.

Room Notes

Within the Palace, we have printed Room Notes and also QR codes which you can scan and choose to either read the Room Notes on your phone or play as an Audio Guide. These are available in English, Dutch, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
